For example, when installing a butterfly valve right after the piping elbow, you need to pay attention to the piping installation posture, etc. to prevent malfunction caused by drift.
In general, a butterfly valve is connected to the straight piping section before the elbow so that an even force is applied to the valve.
In case that the butterfly valve must be piped after the elbow due to space limitation, etc., provide a straight pipe section (at least 6D) of adequate length by referring to the figure below, or ensure that fluid pressure is applied evenly to the left and right sides of the Disc.
